Attack on America
Whereas, on September 11, 2001 our nation was
attacked with deliberate and brutal cruelty causing
thousands of casualties; and
Whereas, it is said that adversity introduces us to
ourselves. This is true of a nation, as well. In this
trial, we have been reminded and the world has seen,
that our fellow Americans are generous, kind, resourceful,
brave; and
Whereas, we have seen our national character in eloquent
acts of sacrifice. In these and many other ways, Americans
showed deep commitment to one another and an abiding
love for our country. This is also clearly evident in
services of prayer and candlelight vigils together with
American flags which are displayed in pride and wave
in defiance; and
Whereas, in our prayers we ask Almighty God to watch
over our nation and grant us patience, fortitude and
resolve in all that is to come and knowing that America
is the land of the free because it is the home of the
brave; and
Whereas, our President in calling America to arms said
that no one should forget fundamental American values
and our first responsibility is to live by them, therefore
be it
Resolved that the Sons of the Revolution are united
with our President who has assured the nation that we
will meet violence with patient justice and resolve,
assured of the rightness of our cause. In all that lies
before us, may God grant us wisdom and may he watch
over and bless the United States of America. |
